DPP Readiness Checklist for Textiles
textileschecklistDPP
The EU Digital Product Passport regulation is coming, and textiles is one of the first categories in scope. Whether you're an importer, brand, or retailer, here's a practical checklist to assess your readiness.
What you need for each product
- Product identifiers: GTIN, EAN, or internal article numbers that map to supplier records
- Supplier information: Factory site, country of origin, supplier contact
- Material composition: Fiber content, percentages, and any recycled content claims
- Compliance certificates: OEKO-TEX, GOTS, REACH, or equivalent — with validity dates
- Test reports: Chemical testing, physical performance, or safety reports
- Care and labeling data: Washing instructions, size specs, labeling compliance
How to assess gaps
- Pick 10–20 representative SKUs across your catalog
- For each SKU, check which of the above documents you already have on file
- Note which documents are missing, expired, or incomplete
- Prioritize by volume — start with your highest-selling products
What to do next
- Organize what you have into a single sheet per product
- Identify which suppliers need to provide updated documents
- Set up a repeatable process so new products are covered from day one
SellSafely automates this workflow: upload your sheet and documents, and we'll show you exactly what's ready and what needs action.
